IRAC Coordinator - Alan Porter

Alan has had considerable experience within the Industry working for Shell in the UK, American Cyanamid in the US and the Contract Research Group, Inveresk in Scotland. Over his 30 years of industry experience he has worked with insecticides, herbicides, animal and public health as well as rodenticides. He is experienced in product development, ecotoxicology, regulatory affairs and project management.

He is currently working as a consultant under the name of Alan Porter Associates based in the U.K and has served as IRAC International Coordinator for the last seven years. He also works as a partner in firm of intraspin.com managing strategic web based projects including the IRAC website.

Coordinator Role

Organising IRAC International Meetings and as well as the various team and group conference calls
Acting as the Committee Secretary, taking minutes and following up actions
Assisting and participating in the various Core Activity, Project, Functional, and Expert Teams
Maintaining the IRAC Network through frequent communication with internal and external members and groups
Tracking projects and other ongoing activities
Ensuring the IRAC website is current and functioning
Distributing IRAC literature, educational materials, posters minutes etc as required
