SusceptabilityTest Methods
As in Crop Protection on of the most important factors governing the management of insecticide use is the availability of sound baseline data on the susceptibility of the target pest to the toxicant. A switch in strategy to reduce resistance pressure may not only be a change of insecticide but a change from adulticide to larvacide or implementing other strategy based alternative. For vector control IRAC recommend using the WHO Test Kits and following their methods: Test Procedures for Insecticide Resistance which are available from the WHO website.
